First Experience Driving in Stanley Park

I've been taking professional driving lessons several times now and practiced with my mom's friend twice. Today I actually drove to Stanley Park at night (amazing huh? Especially considering that I'm still pretty much a virgin at driving). At one point though I wasn't able to really see the lane and curb on my left side because it was dark out and because I got kind of distracted by the beautiful ocean view combined with the dazzling city night lights on the right side...so after smoothly cruising along like a limousine driver at Stanley Park I accidentally hit a curb to my left and ended up with a flat tire (thank goodness not a major accident). Problem was, we had a tire and crowbar in the back trunk of my mom's car...but no jack to lift up the car in order to change the tire! So my mom's friend slowly drove the broken down car towards a safe spot on the side. My mom, her friend, and I were waving at passing cars to come by and help us. It was a hit and miss.

Soon enough there was a van with an Indian father and his son in it who said they will lend us a jack after they are done taking some photos. Shortly after they left, a few more cars ignored us until one stopped for us. Turns out the couple in that car were past accounting clients of my parent's. At first we thought they were Chinese until my mom and them finally recognized each other and they started speaking to each other in Vietnamese. They used to own an auto body shop so they had plenty of car tools in the back of their trunk. The Indian family came back with the jack, they were true to their word (honest). My mom and I (mostly me) had our cellphones out with its flashlight on so that her friend and my mom's past male client are able to see well while replacing the tire using my mom's crowbar, her past clients' car tools, and the Indian family's car jack. It was quite interesting watching her friend and past client both work as a team. After watching them replace the tire, I get the gist of it but I should definitely learn how to fix a tire step-by-step someday. Flat tires are common problems on the road.
Someday I would like to cruise on the road on a beautiful day out while listening to some chill Vaporwave. —Empress Cynthelestia
