Greetings, I’m in my early 20’s and am from Holland, Europe. This is my testimony on pornography’s normalization of violence and abuse towards women and children. My good friend was a victim of her porn addicted stepdad who was obsessed with her for years, he started to get these feelings when his porn addiction got out of hand and got off to child pornography to stay excited. It was just fantasies at first, but some time later he placed cameras in her room without anyone noticing. As well, he spied on her while she was showering. The relationship between her mother and her stepdad wasn't going well either. Her parents fought a lot but no one from the outside world ever noticed anything about the dreadful situation. On December 2015, there was a fight again. In the morning at 9am, her step-dad completely lost it. As my friend heard the situation from upstairs in her room she ran downstairs to check up on them, only to see that her step-dad was strangling her own mother. She ran upstairs to hide, he came after her, and grabbed her on a chair and tied her up, and promised her that nothing would happen to her but the promise coming from a man who got nothing to lose is of course, short-lived. He went downstairs to enter the backyard and smoke a joint while figuring what to do with his wife’s corpse and the tied up girl. He was in a panic. He decided to go back upstairs, untied his stepdaughter and thrown her onto her own bed, she was raped. After that, he strangled her too as he didn't want anyone to know about all of this. He dumped both bodies in the crawl space beneath the house and went on the run. He was found later that day confused and in silence by the police, the unrecognizable bodies were found two days later.
