What I Love About My Boyfriend

After having a string of depressing and frustrating weeks, I decided to make a list of positive things on why I love my boyfriend. ^_^ Turn up some sweet romantic music (perhaps my favourite childhood Pokemon gameboy theme song) because here we go...

1. We share some of the same things in common such as school, ambition, leadership, video games, and interests in horror/mystery, critical thinking, and spirituality (although he’s non-religious and I am), sense of humor, rebelliousness on the same page. Most importantly, we share the same moral principles and are both anti-porn activists. (He approached me on Fight The New Drug Facebook page. Thank you FTND because if it weren’t for your non-profit organization and Facebook page, I wouldn’t have met my significant match.)

2. Overall, we are mutually attracted to each other. He is bias in terms of female beauty because in his eyes and heart, I’m always #1.

3. He often calls me beautiful…he doesn’t just say it to get brownie points; he tries to make me believe it.

1. He never makes (hurtful) jokes about my small size A cup breasts nor my petite height nor my other body parts. He absolutely loves every single body part of mine and he loves them all equally (besides my face and smile being his favourite, lol –blushes-) (´∀｀•)

1. He doesn’t watch porn (*IMPORTANT*), which means I’m the only female in his intimate eyes…truly this makes me feels so special. He quit out of his own will about a year ago and became anti-porn (no problem). Ever since then, he has never relapsed (talk about powerful…and an inspiration as I myself am still recovering from porn addiction, which I unfortunately developed since I was 4 years old). He has never sexually got off to hentai (anime/manga porn) nor porn involving Asian females/Asian fetishes in his life (from what he told me). So yeah, he doesn’t have the typical creepy “yellow fever”. I know a lot of white dudes who go for Asian females simply because of anime, Asian porn, and/or K-Pop (yeah my bf is not into K-Pop, meaning he’s also not into those pale Asian females with plastic faces that so many guys are in love with)—that’s kind of a turn off for me especially the porn part. My bf is definitely not your typical guy. He may have a sex drive but he is NOT a pervert.

1. He’s not an anime freak/otaku/weeaboo. Back before I met my ex-boyfriend, I would have liked that but after having to deal with my ex-boyfriend’s hentai use and obsession with anime girls, I no longer enjoy anime/manga/cosplay conventions as I used to. Because I have porn-related betrayal trauma (PTSD) due to my compulsive lying ex-bf’s porn use, which has a huge influence on his physical and sexual standards, I suffer from panic attacks whenever I see images of hyper-sexualized anime females. I can never measure up to those unrealistic images. Instead of liking female animu images and having them plastered all over his online accounts, desktops, and profile pictures, he likes beautiful landscapes, which is what I also like. Plus, his profile avatars match his biological sex whereas my ex-bf always has a female anime character as his profile pics…yeah. :/

He has the cutest male laugh EVAR. \(=>∀<=)/ It’s so innocent, adorable, and boyish for someone who’s in his early 20’s. ~squeals~ his laugh is so contagious and addictive. The last time I voice-chatted with him on Whatsapp, I excessively complimented on his laugh and he said I was making him feel shy (yet he was flattered). Honestly, throughout my life I don’t know any other guy who has a laugh as cute as his. Ehehe. (*≧∀≦*)｡o○♡

1. His European accent is charming. He can make several different European accents including non-European!

1. In terms of sex drive, we are pretty compatible (although mine is higher than his so because of that I see it as a fun challenge and sometimes subtly sexually tease him like a succubus :P ).

He has a strong sense of justice. “Flat is justice”, which may be a reason why he absolutely favors my au natural chest over bigger ones. ^_^ In some ways, he reminds me of Light Yagami (inner + outer characteristics) from Death Note, except less dark/less evil—before Light became corrupt by the death note.

1. He’s more bright and wise than the average 20 something year old guy.

2. He’s a good cook. He puts his heart into it whenever he cooks for me.

3. He truly cares about my health; twice he mildly scolded me for having to eat McDonald’s again. Whilst this would annoy some people (they would be like “f**k off, I do whatever I want with my own body), on the other hand I am truly grateful for his care.

4. In return, he is thankful that I care about his health. He’s cutting down on drinking and has quit smoking (btw, quitting smoking is definitely NOT easy but possible). I didn’t even have to ask him to quit, once he started pursuing me, he already started to quit.

5. He’s an extrovert and I’m an introvert. Surprisingly, our Myers-Briggs personality types are compatible for each other. I’m like a gloomy raincloud and he’s like sunshine that brings out the rainbow from within me. We balance each other well like music in perfect harmony. We make a perfect tag team!

6. He makes a whimsical comedic entertainer! He puts a smile on my face. (*´∇｀*)

7. He excels in gaming, I remember sitting on his lap while he was playing one of his shooters games; he was ALWAYS THE TOP player in the team! Even on master difficulty level. Impressive indeed but even if he wasn’t always top player, I would still love him the same regardless. (And dang, he sure knows how to wield a katana in-games.)

1. He paid for my flight trip and most of my food expenses while I was there…also gave me a huge Christmas present (a traditional Dutch dress, which I requested). He’s not rich either but that alone shows how much he desires and wants me. Action speaks beyond words. He mentioned if he were very rich, he would buy me a whole kingdom. XD –sighs in love- （人´∀`*)=3

2. His voice sounds similar to this except a little bit lower. Moderately low and raspy. I am certain he would make a great jazz singer.

3. Every single day he would try to contact me. Pretty much every night we would exchange, “I love you” or in Dutch “Ik hou van jou” to each other before we go to sleep. He displays excellent effort in his love for me.

4. Every once in a blue moon, we have small arguments here and there such as on the topic of marijuana (him being more pro-weed whereas I’m more anti-drug) but we can see both perspectives and set our minor differences aside. We both support medical marijuana and I agree with him on some reasons why weed should be legalize, as well he doesn’t smoke weed anyhow so it’s all good.

5. He gently plays with my long hair and is open to having me teach him how to braid. He would make a great father for a daughter. ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

Woah, this exceeded 10 reasons because my boyfriend is THAT GREAT! I am so grateful to have possibly THE best boyfriend in the whole UNIVERSE! Drowning in love and euphoria. <3 I used to be “f**k love” but then had some time to myself, gathered my thoughts, and realized it’s better to love than not have loved at all. Babykinz I…I don’t ever want anything or anyone to tear us apart, not ever again because if I allow that to happen, I don’t think I would ever forgive myself. I think I would cry forever if that were to happen. No matter how much we fight, no matter how much the darkness in this world and within ourselves tries to tear us apart, in my heart you will always forever be my prince. Because of you, I can love again and because of that I would like to thank you.
