My ex husband is a frequent user of porn. He chose to masturbate in front of the computer instead of being with me. I caught him many times when he thought I was asleep. In the beginning I confronted him. He didn't think he was doing anything wrong. He did promise several times to stop. I think he did. But the damage to me and the marriage was already done. Since our split I know he has gone back to downloading porn. TBH I think he is such a loser. Not that this next bit redeems him, but I wasn't exposed to violence and he did not request the acting out of scenes. He did however not see anything wrong with using porn.
